About Us

Bakewell Agricultural and Horticultural Society is a charity run by a Board of Directors elected by Members. It provides an independent voice for local agriculture, horticulture and forestry, lobbying on their behalf and supporting best practice in food production and the use of natural resources.

Training Grants

As part of the Society’s commitment to supporting the land-based sector of the rural economy we award 10 grants of up to £1,000 every year, meaning that we contribute up to £10,000 towards the local land-based sector of the rural economy. Please click to find out more information and how to apply.
