About Us

Bakewell Agricultural & Horticultural Society is a charity run by a Board of Directors elected by Members.

We run a training grant scheme to support the local rural economy and operate Bakewell Showground, hosting third-party events as well as running Bakewell Country Festival and Bakewell Christmas Sparkle.

Training Grants

As part of the Society’s commitment to supporting the land-based sector of the rural economy we award 10 grants of up to £1,000 every year, meaning that we contribute up to £10,000 towards the local land-based sector of the rural economy. Please click to find out more information and how to apply.
